Mumbles Yacht Club is located near Swansea in South Wales, UK. We have the following club accreditations:-

RYA Training Centre
Volvo Youth Sailing Club
WYA Dragon Sail Club

Sailing takes place in the safety of Swansea Bay which is situated at the start of the Gower Peninsula; designated by the National Trust as an area of outstanding natural beauty.

Dinghy, catamaran, crusier and youth sailing/racing takes place every weekend during the Spring, Summer and Autumn, with additional evening sailing during Summer weekdays. We also run a well attended Winter series between October and March with sailing/racing every other weekend.

Having many experienced and highly qualified race/safety officers, as well as a large and keen support team, Mumbles has been a popular choice for World Championships, National Championships and Weekend Regattas.

The club has many RYA qualified sailing instructors and courses at many levels are available throughout the year. The Oppie RYA courses for children have been especially successful; many of the children being subsequently picked for the UK and Welsh Squads. Various training courses are also available for adults of all levels.

The clubhouse provides extensive facilities. A large bar area is open 7 days a week all year-round, providing the perfect spot to watch and discuss the sailing with its excellent views over the bay. The galley is run by qualified catering staff and provides a wide range of hot and cold meals; with of course provision for vegetarians. Best of all the club has a fenced-off flat roof from where you can watch the world go by, with a cool glass of your favourite drink. A family atmosphere prevails with a cadet room for exclusive use by the children. With large changing rooms and hot showers we can easily support the largest of championships.

Cruiser sailing is organised into IRC and PY handicap fleets. The monohull handicap fleet sails under PY, and the multihull handicap fleet sails under ISAF SCHRS.
